The catch-all page for plot inquiries, NPC threads, investigations, player plots, plot suggestions, and everything else under that banner. Frequency of replies to NPC thread requests will be subject to mod availability, but we will do our best.

INVESTIGATIONS

This is where you come to seek out conversations with NPCs, have your character investigate the setting, or otherwise declare that your character is doing something we should know about. We are open to doing unsolicited NPC call-out threads but reserve the right to cut them short/handwave if they don't seem to be going anywhere or to limit their scope if we are overburdened. NPCs are not always guaranteed to be up for prolonged conversation, but you can try. To attempt to contact an NPC please put their name in the subject line. For conversations of general plot importance, we may ask you to make an closed log.

For investigations, you can freely use this page to have your character seek out information about the characters, setting, or plot. We do ask that you keep investigations to 1-3 inquiries at most, and to have those inquiries be somewhat related. If you want to investigate things that are completely unrelated, please put them in a separate comment. Additionally, please be specific about the approach your character is taking to find out information; their method will greatly impact how well it goes for them.

PLAYER PLOTS

Aion Teleos is designed to be open to player plots, and would be glad to accomodate them! Let us know in a comment below that you/your character is doing and how you'd like to approach it as a player run event. Please put the words "Player Plot" in the subject line.

PLOT SUGGESTIONS

If you don't specifically want to run a plot yourself but have some vague ideas of an event type you think would scratch an itch for the game, please let us know. We don't guarantee we'll use these ideas, but we will keep them in mind when designing future events.

INVESTIGATION (DRAGONS)

Following up on Estinien's event investigation and conversation with Tehri concerning the larger forest dragons, Estinien is going to attempt to parley with the Tamfa as she suggested. Once the worst of his shrine fight injuries have healed he'll trek out into the woods and keep an eye out for the hidden presence of dragons neat the forest floor. He'll have his wings out and his Nidhogg dragon aura activated (that he gets from being infused with dragon soul/blood) in the hopes of looking familiar to them. In his canon he can sense other dragons, so he'll be trying to do that, whether or not it works.

If he doesn't get any results just from wandering around searching, he will call out his presence to them, saying that he wishes to parley with the Tamfa. Maybe calling them by name will help, who knows! He's also been feeding the little insect dragons daily (when he wasn't injured) and so him doing this may end up summoning some of them to start bothering him, which may also make an impression.

Estinien's initial attempts will have mixed results: the closer he is to the actual settlement, the less he will find. He may see dragons moving overhead and the shadows of them flying in the canopy, but these are not the Tamfa. It may seem to be fruitless for a while, with a few unnamed species watching curiously for a moment or two before flying away when he tries to acknowledge their presence.

On all instances the little dragons will be flocking to him since he has been spending so much time winning their favor. In the end, this will be what actually works to his benefit. With persistence over the course of a few days, Estinien can finally be approached by a Tamfa dragon he can speak with.

Yes, please! You can start with Estinien's latest attempt to try and gather the Tamfa's attention and we will introduce the dragon and have it approach Estinien. There is a very specific entrance for the Tamfa we have in mind.

When it comes to exploring the area Ujfa directed them towards, how would you like us to set this up? Should we make a log, or do you want to have it explored in summary form here? Estinien will be wanting to go for this now that he's had some time to recover.

Please make a log! The mods will respond at different intervals to add flavor to what they discover on their way there.

To begin, Estinien will find that the area Ujfa has directed him to go will seem just like more generic forest at first, but then there will be a sharp contrast to the vibrant life of Lohkimareen to old, dead flora. Trees are charred and blackened and it's unclear when this may have happened. The place seems frozen in time. The farther in they go, they will find a large tree not unlike the kind that the residents of Greentruth make their homes. It appears to have split in two at the top, but main body is still intact. There are several alcoves and holes along the sides near branches that look large enough for a Tamfa-sized dragon to crawl into.

Is there anything stopping Estinien from just super jumping/flying up to the top where the platform is?

No, there are no barriers that would stop him from reaching it with jumping or flight. He would need to dodge a few broken pieces of the tree but they are minor obstacles. We can provide a new prompt once he has reached the summit and more info if the team is investigating the metal.

I got caught up in the event and forgot to wrap things up here! As you are likely aware, Estinien and his team found the eggs, and Estinien will be bringing the live one (and also the dead ones) to Ujfa. He will present the live one and explain how he found it, and say that he also brought the dead ones in the event that his people would like to lay them to rest.

The live egg itself will be a surprise to Ujfa. He will offer to take Estinien to meet with the other Tamfa and we can NPC that thread if you would like during whatever timeline makes the most sense for Estinien. This could be after the events, the invitation will be open indefinitely.

As for the metal, Ryunosuke and Caitlyn can let us know if they are going to take the bomb fragments to be inspected and we can go from there regarding that plot information.
